Each month we bring you scenes and description
from western Arnhem Land or other parts of the Top End (Tiwi
Islands and Arnhem Land) - showing the country, bush food,
and other aspects of Aboriginal life:
Bark from the kurrajong tree is used by Aboriginal
people of Arnhem Land to make fibre string and ropes. These can
then be made into a variety of useful objects including baskets
and belts.
Yolngu
Art and Ceremony

and culturally committed of Australia's indigenous nations. For more
on the patterns, symbols and designs of Yolngu art, read
the article by Jennifer Isaacs.
