The limited edition prints below are by
artists who work at the art and community centre
in Yuendumu. Yuendumu is one of the most active centres for print
making in the whole of the central and western Desert.
Warlukurlangu Artists in 1997 began exploring print
making with senior Yuendumu artists and in 1998 a workshop
was held with master printers from Northern Editions (Charles
Darwin University).
Since then, Yuendumu artists have produced limited edition
prints in the form of silk screen prints and etchings
and there are now over 50 print editions produced from
collaboration between Warlukurlangu artists, Northern
Editions and other printers.
In 2003 the artists of Yuendumu completed a beautiful
suite of 12 etchings, following on from the success of
an earlier set - see our page on the Fire
and Water Suite.
