Tjungu Palya is a collaboration of artists at Nyapari,
Kanpi and Watarru communities in the so-called "APY
Lands" in the far north of South Australia. The
Lands are home to Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara
speaking people. The region has four art centres including
Ninuku, Tjungu Palya and Tjala Arts at Amata.

Tjungu Palya artists have rapidly established a reputation
for very fine art that is rich in story and arresting
for its innovation and freshness. Demand for their work
is strong and there are waiting lists for some artists’
work. The paintings below are by Maringka Baker and Jimmy Baker, two of the best known artists working at the centre.
