Aboriginal Art - New Items

Aboriginal art is lively and changing constantly. We try to bring you some of this vitality through our changing selection of paintings, prints and informative articles. By expanding our work with Aboriginal art centres and galleries, we now offer many more paintings and prints for your enjoyment. The result is the widest range of quality Aboriginal art on the Internet.

The Aboriginal Paintings Gallery has been updated, with the addition of new works from:

The Aboriginal Prints Gallery has also been expanded by the addition of new Prints from Arnhem Land and from Lockhart River.

The National Museum of Australia recently hosted an outstanding exhibition entitled “Papunya Painting: Out of the Desert”. The equally excellent catalogue for the exhibition "Papunya Painting" is available fom our online shop.

A major survey of work by the Lockhart River "art gang" is presented in a book entitled "Our Way" about the Lockhart river artists. This book is a comprehensive review of the work of these talented young artists - it is available from our online shop.

The New McCulloch's Encyclopedia of Australian Art was published in 2007. This is its first update for 12 years and it includes a major section of nearly 190 pages about Aboriginal art. This book is an essential part of any serious collector's library of key reference works. We are now selling it at a specially reduced price.
