We are happy to help you with any aspect of shopping through
the Website. If you are interested in purchasing an artwork,
we encourage you to contact
us personally before completing the order so that we can
confirm availability and to ensure that you will be happy with
the work. One of the directors of the company will respond to
any inquiries you might have.
The starting point for any inquiries you may have about shopping
online is our set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
How can I place an order for an item?
You can place an order through the galleries (for art works),
the online shop (for books, disks and other items), by fax and
by ordinary post. Details of where to send an order are on the
Contact page. Please do
not use email to send orders with credit card details as this
method of communicating is not sufficiently secure.
What methods can I use to pay for the order?
You can pay for an item by using a credit card through our secure
e-commerce facility, by faxing us your signed order and credit
card details or by posting us a signed order with your credit
card details or a cheque drawn in Australian dollars. We reserve the right to add a surcharge of 2% to items purchased by American Express or Diners cards. We also accept payment by Paymate and PayPal (for items less than AUD $1000).
What currencies can I use for payment?
We require payment in Australian dollars - either by using a
credit card (which will be debited in Australian dollars), by direct bank transfer in Australian dollars or
by a cheque in Australian dollars made out to Aboriginal Art
Online Pty Ltd.
How secure are my credit card details?
Your credit card details are highly secure. If you provide these
details via the secure online link then Aboriginal Art Online
will not store or have access to your card details - they will
only exist in securely coded form while the transaction is completed.
We guarantee that
every online transaction you make through Aboriginal Art Online
is 100% safe. This means that you pay nothing if unauthorised
charges are made to your credit card as a result of shopping
at our Web site.
How long does it take for my order to be processed?
Paintings and prints ordered through the Website will be shipped whenever
possible within three working days of receiving the order and
completion of payment (there may sometimes be a delay if the
work is being supplied from a remote location). Books will be sent
by airmail within 48 hours of receiving the order and completion
of payment.
What is included in the shipping
charge?
For art works (paintings and prints), the shipping charge includes
insurance for delivery to the customer. Shipments may require
confirmation by signature that the goods have been received
by the person who placed the original order (or their agent).
Can I return an item?
If you are not satisfied with the quality of an art work or
the accuracy of its presentation on our Website, you may return
it and we will refund your purchase price. You may do this provided
you contact us and provided that the work is returned in its
original condition.
The full details of our company's policies are contained in
the Terms of Use (that cover
all users of the Aboriginal Art Online Website) and Shopping
and Online Security pages. The above FAQs are a shortened
version of the full policy statements. We have tried to give
clear, brief answers to the FAQs, but if you have any doubts
you should consult the full policy (which prevails over the
FAQs).
