Pirrmangka Reid Napanangka is a senior
artist and highly respected woman who lives in
Warakurna
with family.
Mrs Reid is also a famous singer who regularly performs
at inma ceremonies.
Her style is strongly influenced by traditional sand
drawing. Women in Warakurna carry long strands of 'story'
wire which is looped at each end. They tell each other
tjukurrpa (Dreaming stories) whilst drawing in the sand.
