Aboriginal prints are an attractive and affordable form
of Australian Aboriginal art. Artists have expanded rapidly
in their use of print making as a form of artistic expression.
There is now a wide range of etchings, screenprints and
other limited edition works by both established and emerging
artists from communities in the Kimberley, Central and
Western Desert and Top End (including Arnhem Land) regions
Prints are arranged by regions - click on the link to
see works from a particular region. If you want to read
a short biography of the one of the artists, go to the
Art and Artists section
of our Website.
The gallery is arranged with eight smaller images of
Aboriginal prints on the one Web page. If you wish to
see one in a larger size, click on the smaller image -
a new browser window will open showing a larger image.
To keep browsing, just close the window and return to
the page of images. To see more prints, click on the "Next"
button at the bottom of the page.
To find a print by a particular artist, you can use our
Web site search facility to search by artist's name or
other term (see navigation bar on the left).
Prints have been selected through visits or discussions
with Aboriginal communities and artists, or specialised
print workshops, and are warranted by us to be as described
and attributed (see the Shopping
and online security policy).
All limited edition prints available through our Website
are produced on the highest quality archival
paper that ensures the stability and very long life
of the image. There are no concerns about the essentially
indefinite life of such prints, provided they are properly
handled and not exposed to excessive light, heat or humidity.
Note that the prices shown are in Australian dollars
for sending a print to an Australian address and for export.
Prices do not include freight and insurance, or customs
duty for export items. The price for freight to an address
in Australia includes GST, while the export price does
not include either Australian GST or local taxes in the
country of export. Freight charges are shown in the drop-down
menu. You can use the Currency
Converter to give you an estimate of the price of
each print in your local currency.
