In the Tjukurrpa (Dreamtime) ancestral women were travelling from the west, and came to Walkali, singing their way through the country. At Walkali they stopped, and sat by the waterhole - the various U shapes - to rest. They continued to travel, collecting young girls and bush tucker as they went. They taught the girls as they travelled. |
